Hemp block and heritage timber frame, Thetis Island

A waterfront home designed around Renewabuild structural hemp lime block. The walls carry the load, insulate, manage moisture and resist fire and mould, all in one natural assembly. At its heart is a timber frame from our clients’ family farm back east, shipped across the country. We completed the feasibility study, and our crew cut the old frame for its new home, working for Chris Koehn of TimberGuides. Construction is close to starting. Renderings shown.
